The Final Touch may be new to the blogosphere, but that doesn’t keep us from staying up-to-date on some of the best and brightest design blogs out there. Case in point: Sanity Fair, a blog that does a fabulous job of integrating the best in fashion, design and gardens (much like the magazine the title plays off, Vanity Fair!)

Recently, the site had a wonderful blog post on “Being Brave With Color.” Below, we share a few examples of some fabulously fashioned interiors to inspire you to bring a little color into your home.

Lovely Linens: How to Care for your Bedding

When it comes to caring for one of the bigger-ticket items in our bedrooms–linens–many of us are in great need of a crash-course in Bedding Basics 101. Whether you’ve spent a fortune on can’t-live-without-sheets or have inherited a gorgeous, antique-like set, here’s how Southern Accents magazine recommends keeping them in tip-top shape:

• Use only mild detergents or linen washes. Remember that less is more when it comes to linens; don’t pour detergent directly onto the fabric.
• Wash like colors on the gentle cycle with warm–not hot–water.
• Never use chlorine bleach or detergents with bleach. Use enzyme-reactive stain removers only on an as-needed basis.
• Forget fabric softeners. Buildup will coat threads and leave them brittle.
• If possible, allow sheets to air dry. Otherwise, use the low setting on the dryer and remove when still damp.
• “Iron sheets while they’re still slightly damp to the touch. When pressing monograms or embellishments, place them facedown on a thick towel to avoid flattening the design.”

Here are a few gorgeous pictures to keep your eyes on the prize when it comes to the sometimes lengthy, but very-much-worth-it process of caring for your bedroom linens:
